Proposed change to the Plan Rules

Letter to consult with those members of Section 3 impacted by a proposed change to the Plan Rules

A letter was sent to 260 members of Section 3 in respect of a proposed change to the Plan Rules affecting them and their pension benefits. The proposal is to cap the amount of pensionable service that can be built up to 40 years. The reason for this is that the current Rule may be discriminatory to younger members and the Plan’s legal adviser has recommended this be changed.
