Step 1 - why do I need a pension?

As we know, time flies, and though retirement may be a long way off now, the sooner you begin saving, the more secure your future will be. And although the State will give you something, it probably won't be enough to live the kind of lifestyle you'll want when you retire.

When you join the O2 Pension Plan you'll be on your way to living comfortably and providing greater security for those you'd leave behind if you were to die earlier than expected.

But hurry, this should be done before you've finished your first year at O2.

I'd just started at O2 and one night I was moaning to my mates, 'Pensions are for boring old accountants and I'm way too young to think about retiring!' But it turns out my mates already had their pensions sorted. They said I'd be stupid not to, especially as O2 pay into your fund too! So I thought I'd better find out more.
